It sure has been a while since I posted on my blog. Eons, years?
So much going on. Still working the day job as a computer consultant, still writing. I generally get up at 4am, or if I’m going to sleep in, 4:30. Write for an hour or two then a workout, a cold plunge and work. Every day I try to get in at LEAST 1500 words.

I did write a short story for an anthology about orbital assaults. I was pretty happy with it. It is about Jaeger Sloss and Sif. The story revolves around Sloss and his first assault drop (during Operation Haberdash). He ends up rescuing Sif and the rest becomes history. While Skadi and her team are there, they are not really part of this story. It is just a little back story like Silent Moons but it occurs long before the vanhat arrive.
Other than that I’m working on another series with Commissar Feng called “Colonel Commissar.” Book #1 is written, but it is likely to be a trilogy and just about Feng. It will likely end during Operation Haberdash, or as the SOG calls it Operation Razor.
All that said, I am still working on the main Last Marines arc. I’ve finished book #11 which is “Operation Seraphim” and I’m 20% into book #12 “Echoes of the Fallen”. The next two books LM13 is “The Lost Sanctum” and LM14 is “When Angels Fall”. I may, or may not need a book #15 for this arc. Not sure yet, but things just ‘went south’ in “Echoes of the Fallen”.
Beyond that I’m becoming very familiar with AI such as ChatGPT and Claude. Great for research and fleshing out things like solar systems, etc. There really is a lot of stuff in the background that never makes it into the story and hammering out those details takes time. I’m NOT using AI to write the stories, but it helps brainstorm sometimes.
Alright. Enough for now. Will write more later. I don’t want to bore people TOO badly.
